On high tourist flow days (indicated in red in the ‘ZTL Calendar’), on an experimental basis, a new free service is available in Assisi for visitors with motor disabilities and their companions. The aim is to facilitate accessibility to the city’s main points of interest.
Through a dedicated means of transport, made available by the Municipality of Assisi, it will be possible to reach the following places
- Piazza Inferiore di San Francesco, with departure from Piazza Giovanni Paolo II
- Historic centre, departing from the Porta Nuova car park to Largo Properzio
The service is round-trip and is carried out on call, on days considered to be the busiest for tourists and identified as ‘red’ in the ZTL calendar of the City of Assisi, from 10:00 to 17:00.
